“Please be advised that due to an unexpected resignation of the school nurse over at Wanaque, Haskell School has been without a nurse. Of course, our immediate focus has been trying to locate a replacement,” states the message sent by the district’s Superintendant of Schools, Donna L. Cardiello.
A replacement will begin on Monday, she wrote.
“In the meantime if an emergency were to occur, we have first aid trained staff in the building, as well as every classroom teacher having 911 calling abilities at their fingertips,” she wrote.
The nurse who had been serving at Haskell School is currently serving as the district nurse, and is available for emergencies, she wrote.
